What is it?
Morpheus8 is a micro-needling RF treatment which is more effective than other types of treatment. This micro-invasive skin rejuvenation procedure uses micro-needling with radiofrequency (RF) energy. Radiofrequency skin tighterning has been in the market for many years. Innovation of RF energy delivered at the tip of gold cloated needles has achieved a breakthrough in delivering the radiofrequency deep into the tissues without causing skin damage. When can I expect results?
Morpheus8 works to improve skin laxity, facial contour and volume. Typically, it will take about 4-8 weeks to see results and full results are visible at the end of 6 months.
What are the contraindications of Morpheus8?
We do not recommend Morpheus8 for pregnant or nursing women and children below 18 years. Morpheus is also contra indicated in the presence of facial implants or allergy to nickel
Can anyone have Morpheus8?
Morpheus8 technology is suitable for all skin types.
How many sessions do I need?
You will need three sessions to see full results. Maintenance of one session every 12 months is recommended to maintain collagen stimulation.
Which areas do you treat with Morpheus8?
Most commonly, Morpheus8 help in the treatment of the face and neck, especially to treat jowls, jawline and under-eye area and around the mouth. It can be used anywhere on the body, including the abdomen, declottage, buttocks, arms, chest or knees.
How long will the treatment take?
The treatment takes upto an hour.
What are the post procedure instructions?
Immediate swelling, redness and occasional bruising can be expected. They can persist up to 1 week following the procedure.
During this downtime, it is essential to protect the skin from the sun and therefore, daily SPF is advised. Please do not apply retinol cream for 7 days after treatment
Is the treatment painful?
Morpheus treatment can be uncomfortable. We apply 2 rounds of strong local anesthetic cream before the treatment. If necessary we provide a local anesthetic face block before the procedure.
Are there any instructions before treatment?
Please avoid having a facial/chemical peel 2 weeks before the procedure. Please stop retinol 5 days before the procedure
Avoid coffee on the day of the procedure and alcohol the day before the procedure.
Can Morpheus treat acne scarring ?
Yes, Morpheus can break the collagen below the scarring and lift the scars. As the collage heals then an even surface is achieved. Morpheus also has a resurfacing option for superficial scarring to smoothen the skin.
What is the difference between microneedling and Morpheus8?
Morpheus is microneedling but at a much deeper level with addition of radiofrequency energy as collagen stimulation. Normal microneedling is superficial and used as a tool for penetration of products and stimulation of collagen at the superficial layers of the
skin.
Is there any downtime after Morpheus 8?
Most clients will notice redness and occasional bruising from Morpheus 8. This usually disappears after 24 to 48 hours.
Can Men have Morpheus 8?
Yes men can have Morpheus 8 and is infact a better treatment than fillers as does not create volume in the face.
Can I combine Morpheus with any other treatments?
Usually we advise not to do any fillers till all the sessions of Morpheus treatment are finished. Botox however can be done after the treatment. We occasionally add Platelet rich plasma after Morpheus to boost collagen growth.
