Q&A
Butt Contouring
Can i have a non surgical butt augmentation?
Yes, with hyaluronic acid fillers (Hyacorp) and with collagen stimulators like Lanluma or Sculptra.
What are hyaluronic acid fillers (Hyacorp/Variofill)?
These fillers are made of hyaluronic acid and are CE MARKED for injection in the buttock.
How much fillers will i need?
Most clients would need at least 100 MLS on either side of the buttock. If you are very slim and without much fat, in the buttock, it would not be possible to inject the buttock with the filler as the filler will appear lumpy. If you are in doubt pls send us a picture of yourself to assess before you come to the clinic. Pls, note that the suggested volume of filler is only a rough estimate and does not guarantee the results you are wishing to obtain.
What are the risks of hyacorp?
Bruising is common as we have to use larger cannulas to inject the filler, infection is very rare and other rarer complications include nerve damage in the buttock that can lead to chronic pain or filler going into the veins and causing breathing problems needing admission to hospital. However, these severe complications are very rare.
What are the post-procedure instructions?
These are quite dense hyaluronic acid and once injected we have to strap the buttocks for 5 days to prevent the filler from moving. It is imperative, not to have baths, not to sit for more than 45 minutes and not to lie on your back for 4-5 days.
What is Scupltra/Lanluma?
Sculptra/Lanluma is a product called PLLA that works as a collagen stimulator and works naturally by building collagen in the body. It has micro particles of polylactic acid that come as a powder. The powder is mixed with saline and injected into the buttock. As the saline is absorbed in a day or two the particles work inside the body to stimulate collagen.
When will i see the results of Sculptra/Lanluma?
Sculptra starts working in 4 weeks and can work for up to 6 months. Sculptra is very good for skin tightening and lifting the buttock. It adds volume slowly and is longer lasting than the filler. Most individuals will need 30-40 vials of Sculptra in 6-8 sessions. Clients looking for instant results should not opt for Sculptra.
Am I guaranteed results with sculptra?
The results with Sculptra are also unpredictable as it relies heavily on the ability of the body to form collagen.
What are the risks?
There is a small chance of lump formation after injection of Sculptra/Lanluma but these are rare. There is an 8 to 10% chance of forming small nodules with Sculptra/ Lanluma though these are rarely visible and can sometimes felt with the fingertips, usually the size of wheat grain. They slowly disintegrate over time. There are no other real side effects as bruising and infection are extremely uncommon.
What are the post-procedure instructions?
The downtime with Sculptra/Lalnluma is virtually none and clients can return to normality straight away. Sculptra but augmentation also needs many vials to achieve volume though firmness is achieved with few vials.
What is the ideal situation for butt augmentation?
The ideal situation depends on various factors, skin elasticity, volume loss, shape wanted, and filler longevity. In most patients, an ideal situation for Butt Augmentation is treatment with few vials of Sculptra/Lanluma to provide firmness and skin tightening. Once this is achieved building volume or changing contour with hyaluronic acid fillers gives the best results.
